Road Trip Disaster ends in Rainbows

Luke and I, on our way to FL discovered that not sleeping for over 24 hours is not fun.

First: In the first couple hours of traveling I had this gut feeling something was going to happen… some part of a tire from a semi or something comes flying through the air and hits our car.

Second: Staying awake is not fun… Luke and I should have slept a little more before we got going.. we were great through Atlanta and then Georgia disappointed me with insufficient roads. I-75 S was what I describe as an off-road expereince from Macon to Lake City.

Third: In case you haven’t been keeping up with the news there’s a wildfire in GA and FL. We drove through about 100 miles of thick smoggy smoke at the most pivitol time of the drive (or atleast the most exhausting part of the trip).

Once we got to Gainesville it was smooth sailing and we survived the rest of the trip with no incidents. It was good after Gainesville. I saw the following animals dead and alive: turkeys, armadillos, rabbit, turtles, and once at our hotel I saw alligators. We have ALLIGATORS less then 200 yards from our hotel room. So that made the trip much more fun. Pictures to come.
