As a few of you know I am working on an e-textile body of work dedicated to the electro chemical processes of the brain. I am excited about this but it has also been difficult to get going since I still have so much to learn about the brain and electricity. So here we have a detail example of a piece in progress. I first dyed my fabric with tea, painted the brain image with acrylics and then embroidered the neurons. There is much more to go and much shibori to work on (which is another reason why it has taken so long). Hopefully in the next week or two I will have more fabric ready to go and will have worked out some of the conductive thread plans for the next piece.
