My house is 40 degrees. Luke and I abandoned ship on Wednesday morning but left the cats. They seem to be handling it fine but I think they miss us. We check on them 2-3 times a day. We are staying at the college… it’s not really fun. I miss preparing fresh foods– not sure I can take another night of peanut-butter sandwiches and canned soup. The worst part is that on Tuesday or Wednesday morning the water was turned off because the water-plant apparently doesn’t have a good backup plan if the power goes out. The water is on now but there’s a boil water advisory. I dream of something delicious to eat… a pot of coffee… and some homemade cookies. AND THEN a long winter’s nap in my own bed with the electric blanket going full blast (I do realize I said coffee and sleep). Mr. Kentucky Utilities Man I will massage your stinky feet for some electricity to my house.
